When you’re neck-deep in building your network marketing business, sometimes you get a little exhausted. Doing your daily tasks, dialing in for team training - before you know it, you might feel like you’re not doing anything else!

We’re all about focus and hard work, but sometimes the best thing you can do for your business is to take a look from a new perspective.

Here are 4 practical but creative ways you can re-energize your business!

Try a new method of time management

How do you approach your worktime? Hopefully you’re already using Traktivity once you sit down at your desk, but how do you get there in the first place?

A few popular time management include time blocking, the pomodoro method, or Parkinson’s Law. Let’s look at each one quickly.

Time Blocking

In this method, you assign a certain amount of time, whether 15 minutes or 2 hours, to a specific type of work. This way you don’t need to worry about bouncing between tasks or burning out with too much multi-tasking. You’ll just know that every day from 8-8:30, and again from 3-3:30, you check emails. Anything else that comes in between these periods will be handled during your assigned block of time.

Pomodoro Method

Named for the adorable little tomato timer that accompanies this method, this technique asks you to break your time down into smaller bites that feel managable. You’ll literally set a timer for 25 minutes, and when it goes off, you take a 5 minute break. This is a great approach to tasks that feel daunting or too big to tackle. You just make as much progress as you can, then take a break and decide whether to dive back in or move onto something entirely new.

Parkinson’s Law

Work expands to fill the available time. Anyone who has ever pulled an all-nighter for a last-minute school assignment understands how this one works. But have you tried looking at it from the other perspective? Give yourself 20 minutes to handle a specific project, or log a certain number of calls, and challenge yourself to meet that goal within that time. After you’re done, we’ll bet you’ll be surprised at how much you achieved -- and you’ll rethink how much time you actually need.

There are more time management techniques out there than network marketing companies, so try out a few until you find one that works for you!

Meet with someone inspiring

Who in your community, town, or network inspires you? It doesn’t have to be someone in your company or your upline -- it could be the woman who teaches your Barre class, or the artist who recently had a show at the local museum. Maybe it’s a bricks-and-mortar businessowner who has built a great company. When you need some motivation, seek out someone who inspires you and ask for a sit-down. Getting to learn more about people who have taken on big challenges or overcome obstacles, even in wildly different circumstances and industries, will motivate you to make bigger leaps in your own business.

Take a class

When’s the last time you learned something new that wasn’t related to your job? By learning new skills, we engage our brain, build new connections, and overcome fears. Why not take a class in something that’s always interested you? Whether it’s pottery, a new language, or lessons in a new sport, you’ll thank yourself for bringing new energy and a bigger network into your life.

Make a healthy decision first

We can’t all be perfect all the time, but you can choose to make one healthy decision each morning. Squeeze in a workout before your lunch meeting? Get up for a sunrise walk? Drink a big glass of water before your morning coffee? Brainstorm a few ideas of things that make you feel good and good about yourself -- and then try to prioritize one of these things each day. Starting your day feeling positive about your body, your mind, or your spirit will help you tackle each new challenge with a little more gusto!
